Pitlane Docs

01 / Overview

Build your garage. Run your racing team.#

Pitlane is a browser-based garage tycoon on Robinhood Chain. Start with a small workshop, service customer cars, build your own race car and grow a racing team.

The garage is an active place. You move between workstations, carry parts, complete repairs and decide where to invest next. As your workshop grows, hired crew take over routine jobs so you can focus on more advanced work and your own cars.

Races are automatic. Your job is to prepare the car and choose its event, not steer it around the track. While it races, you can keep working in the garage.

02 / Getting started

Your first visit#

Pitlane is built for desktop and mobile browsers. On desktop, move with WASD or the arrow keys and interact with E or the available mouse controls. On mobile, use the on-screen stick and interaction controls.

Connect a supported wallet and sign the sign-in message to establish your account. The sign-in message does not purchase anything or authorize token spending. Purchases are separate actions that you review before confirming.

Start for free with Workshop, or choose Team Garage or Race Ready to have more of your garage ready at the beginning.

You will also choose a crew character. Gus, Dash and Juno have different work specializations, but each can develop a complete garage. Read the character confirmation before choosing; the launch screen will state the selection rules.

03 / Starter packs

Choose your starting point#

Starter packs change how much preparation is already complete. They do not guarantee a return, a fixed reward rate or repayment of their purchase price.

PackStarting setupLaunch price (USD)
WorkshopThe first service bay and basic tools for customer work.Free
Team GarageThe service bay plus your team bay, with a Rustback to restore.$5
Race ReadyThree bays and a ready-to-race starter Rustback.$25

Workshop is free. Team Garage and Race Ready are paid for in PTLN, with prices shown above in USD. The exact PTLN total, included items and applicable charges will be shown before you approve a purchase.

Starting small is part of the intended progression. A Workshop owner can work toward the equipment and expansions offered by the larger packs. Upgrade prices and requirements will be visible before purchase.

A Race Ready pack is intended to make the starter car ready for its initial racing class. It does not include every advanced car, employee or upgrade.

04 / Your garage

One location, different ways to grow#

Bay 1 — Customer service

Your first bay handles visiting cars. Install equipment, improve tools and organize the flow of parts to complete increasingly demanding work.

Bay 2 — Your racing team

This is where you restore and develop your own car. Prepare it for an event, send it racing and use its results to plan the next upgrade.

Bay 3 — Your next direction

The planned third-bay choice is between a second team car and an engineering-focused workspace. One path expands your active fleet; the other supports a more specialized workshop and preparation of your existing car.

Expansion is meant to change what you can do: another process to manage, a car to develop or new work to accept. Bay access and equipment are paid for in PTLN. Some activities may also require REP; reputation is a requirement, not a payment.

05 / Customer service

Take a job. Do the work. Improve the workshop.#

A customer arrives with a job. Review the required operations and resources, accept the work, then complete it at the service post. A finished and verified job contributes to your progression and to the applicable funded reward period.

The initial job types are:

Scroll the table horizontally to see all columns.

JobWhat you doWhat supports it
Quick ServicePerform a short service operation at the car.Basic tools and service upgrades.
TiresCollect a wheel, carry it to the car and fit it.A tire rack and carrying upgrades.
Engine WorkPrepare a part at the workbench, deliver it and install it.A workbench and the required equipment.

Tools improve working speed. Racks and carrying upgrades improve supply. New equipment opens suitable jobs rather than simply adding decoration.

06 / Cars & racing

Restore, prepare, race#

The planned car progression is Rustback → Club Coupe → Track GT → Enduro → Prototype. Each step gives the team a new development goal. Final specifications, unlock requirements and prices will be shown in the car catalogue.

Cars are developed around three attributes:

  • Engine: power for the event.
  • Grip: control and traction.
  • Reliability: the ability to perform consistently.

The initial event direction includes Sprint, Technical and Endurance races. Different events emphasize different aspects of preparation. The event screen will show its requirements before entry.

You prepare and dispatch the car; the race itself runs automatically. Its result should help you understand what to improve next. Meanwhile, your character can continue serving customers or organizing the garage.

Higher classes can qualify for more demanding events and different reward weights. They are not promises of a fixed number of PTLN per race. Actual rewards depend on the funded period, eligible results and other participants.

07 / Characters & crew

Choose your approach to the garage#

Gus — Mechanic. A service-focused character who suits hands-on workshop play.

Dash — Runner. A logistics-focused character who suits moving parts between jobs.

Juno — Tuner. A preparation-focused character who suits developing the team's own car.

Final advantages and trade-offs will be displayed on the selection screen. Every character can progress through the game.

Hire help

A Mechanic services an assigned post. A Runner moves parts. An Engineer helps prepare team cars. Hire and upgrade staff with PTLN to change how you organize the workshop.

Automation should free your attention for other decisions. It does not create unfunded rewards. Offline queues and unattended work limits will be explained before those features are enabled; owning a worker is not a promise of unlimited offline earnings.

08 / Reputation

Reputation records your progress#

REP is earned through verified completed work, race results and career milestones. It supports progression and the in-game leaderboard.

REP is not a token. It cannot be transferred, sold, spent or withdrawn. A REP requirement may unlock an activity, while the related purchase is still paid for in PTLN.

Buying an item does not automatically award REP. The item gives you useful capabilities; the work you complete with it builds your reputation.

09 / PTLN & funding

One payment token#

PTLN is planned as the payment token for paid starter packs, tools, equipment, garage expansion, cars, upgrades, hired crew and applicable consumables.

The token is planned to launch through Pons on Robinhood Chain. Its verified address, live supply, actual fee settings and official trading link will be published before token-dependent purchases open. Names and tickers alone are not enough to identify the correct token.

How the reward fund is intended to be financed

The launch plan includes a $5,000 budget for initial market purchases of PTLN over the first 24 hours. The funding start time and the stage it covers will be announced before opening.

After the initial period, the plan allocates 80% of creator trading fees actually received during the previous reporting day to PTLN purchases for the following day. A budget is not treated as spent until the purchase has actually executed. The amount of PTLN acquired depends on market conditions and execution costs.

The intended Pons creator tax is 2%, in addition to applicable platform trading fees, subject to the launch protocol's permitted settings and verification at deployment. This is not the same charge as a Pitlane gameplay fee or network gas.

Funds already owed to players stay reserved

Finalized player rewards and pending withdrawals cannot also be counted as money available for a new reward period. If future funding falls, future reward budgets can fall or pause. Previously finalized rewards do not disappear because trading activity slows.

10 / Rewards

Service and racing both count#

The planned model distributes funded PTLN according to verified customer work and racing results. Neither buying a pack nor leaving a browser tab open earns a reward by itself.

Rewards are intended to be finalized in hourly periods. Before a period is funded, the relevant PTLN must have actually been acquired and set aside.

Within a funded activity pool, your share depends on your eligible weighted contribution relative to the eligible contribution of other players. Service weights reflect completed work; racing weights can reflect car class, event and result.

A simple proportional example is reward = funded pool × your eligible weight ÷ total eligible weight. This explains the share calculation, not the final production formula. Exact allocations, weights, minimum-activity requirements and rounding rules will be published before paid rewards open.

Why the same action can earn a different amount

Illustration only: assume a racing pool contains 6,000 PTLN for an hour, all races have equal weight, and no bonus, fee or minimum-activity rule changes the result.

Scroll the table horizontally to see all columns.

Total equal-weight races in the hourShare for one race
10600 PTLN
20030 PTLN

These are not Pitlane payout rates. They demonstrate how a shared budget works. Earlier activity can face less competition, but another hour can have a different budget. Joining early does not guarantee a larger reward or recovery of a purchase price.

Estimates are not spendable rewards

While a period is open, your share can change as other players complete work. Any number shown for that open period is an estimate.

After the period closes and the results are verified, finalized PTLN can become available to spend on upgrades or request for withdrawal. If a funded period cannot be finalized, the interface should show that it is still processing rather than presenting an estimate as settled money.

Exact reward settings and changes will be published before they affect a new period. Closed-period results should not be repriced by a later setting change.

11 / Balances & payments

Know which balance you are using#

Scroll the table horizontally to see all columns.

LabelMeaning
Wallet balancePTLN already held in your connected wallet.
Current period estimateA provisional reward for an open period. It is not spendable.
Available PTLNVerified, finalized rewards reserved for you, available for supported purchases or a withdrawal request.
Withdrawal pendingPTLN reserved in an accepted withdrawal request; it cannot also be spent.

Buying an upgrade

A wallet-funded purchase may require a token approval followed by a purchase transaction. The approval authorizes a spending allowance; it is not the purchase itself. Check the amount and contract before signing.

The planned internal-spending option lets you use finalized Available PTLN for supported upgrades without first withdrawing it and sending it back. It does not allow spending an open-period estimate.

A purchase is fulfilled only after payment is verified. If you close the browser during payment, return and check its status before paying again.

Requesting a withdrawal

The launch plan uses manual review of withdrawal requests. Request an amount from your finalized balance and sign the request. An accepted request reserves that amount while the team checks the record and prepares payment to the authenticated wallet.

Review is not an instant transfer. The current processing target and any minimum amount will be shown before submission. Your signature requests the withdrawal; it does not mean an on-chain transfer has already happened. A receiving wallet does not need to grant a token-spending approval just to receive a reward.

Typical states are Under review, Approved, Processing and Paid. A paid request should include a transaction reference. Requests need a defined cancellation or support path; an unresolved transaction must be checked before another payment is attempted.

12 / NFT & Whitelist

Pitlane Crew NFT#

The collection is planned as a character-led PFP collection with a gameplay benefit: a reduction in a specified Pitlane gameplay fee. The fee rates, activation rules and eligible collection address will be published before the benefit is used.

Minting is planned through the official OpenSea collection, not a new mint flow on this website. No collection address, mint date or price is confirmed in this guide.

NFT Whitelist

Apply for Pitlane Crew NFT mint access on the [Whitelist page](/whitelist). The checklist has four X tasks: follow Pitlane, like, repost and quote the pinned post. Each task opens in a new tab and its checkpoint is marked complete when you open the link.

After all four checkpoints are complete, select Your details, enter your X handle and EVM wallet address, and submit your application. You can also leave an optional note about why you want to join Pitlane. No wallet connection or signature is required.

Submitting does not guarantee a whitelist spot.

13 / Safety

Play with clear expectations#

PTLN has market risk. Rewards, token prices, trading activity and available liquidity can change. A paid starter pack buys game content, not a guaranteed financial return. Spending more or arriving earlier does not guarantee profit.

Only server-verified results are eligible for progress and rewards. Duplicate requests must not create duplicate purchases, REP or payouts. Automated abuse, replayed actions and attempts to use another wallet's identity can invalidate the affected activity under the published rules. Wallet ownership and a balance check alone do not prove that one person controls only one account.

Never share a seed phrase or private key. Check the domain, network, contract and requested action before signing. A sign-in message, a token approval, a purchase and a withdrawal request are different actions.

Funding summaries and transaction references are intended to be shared through the project's official X account. The verified token and collection links will be published when available. Do not infer official addresses from a ticker or a search result alone.
